Sustainable Development Goals

Our work to improve the company's social, environmental, and economic performance is part of our commitment to the well-being and progress of La Guajira and the country. That is why we align our performance strategy with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which we can contribute to with our management.

Amongst the prioritized issues associated with our company, the SDGs that we aim for with our management are:

• Clean water and sanitation 
• Affordable and clean energy 
• Decent work and economic growth 
• Industry, innovation, and infrastructure 
• Life on land

Although we contribute to all these goals, the five prioritized objectives we are working on (6, 7, 8, 9, and 15) are those established by the World Bank and the Global Economic Forum in the White Paper on Mapping Mining as the most important to the SDGs to which the sector contributes.
