III Business Roundtable, a boost to the business development in La Guajira

July 19, 2019. In order to boost the economic development of La Guajira and strengthen its business fabric, the third edition of our business roundtable has been carried out. This scenario represents an opportunity to the Guajiran entrepreneurs to showcase their portfolio of services, created with the support of Cerrejón and its Foundation.

The search for new markets, the generation of employment in the region and the development of capacities of local companies are some of the objectives that Cerrejón bets, encouraging these entrepreneurs to be protagonists in the development of the department.

This scenario is key to the promotion of the goods and services offered by these companies, highlighting their characteristics of quality, efficiency and competitiveness. Therefore, in addition to the business conference, Cerrejón has sponsored events such as Expoguajira, Expoartesanías, among others, organized nationwide that serve as a platform to promote their products and business amongst their clients.

Cerrejón through its Foundation has empowered more than 40 companies throughout the development of the Business Strengthening program, these organizations have been trained in strategic management, commercial scaling and financial structuring. Some have become Cerrejón suppliers and others have made their way with other clients. The most important thing is that through the development of their operations and their human capital they are contributing to the employability and progress of La Guajira, thus fulfilling the purpose of this initiative.
