Cerrejón reactivates operations at the mine
After implementing the necessary measures and protocols to reduce the risk of infection of COVID-19 and ensure the health and safety of our workers, their families, and the communities, Cerrejón has today gradually restarted operations.

Cerrejón will donate mechanical ventilators to three hospitals at La Guajira
Cerrejón will donate three mechanical ventilators for pediatric and adult use to hospitals located at Riohacha, Maicao and San Juan municipalities. The equipment, expected to arrive at early July, will be useful for medical attention of Guajirans patients under critical conditions.

20 Young guajirans will participate in the caribbean champions tournament in barranquilla
Twenty young people from Albania, Barrancas, Hatonuevo, Maicao, Uribia, Villanueva, and the city of Riohacha in the Cerrejón Guajira Selection are participating in the Caribbean Champions Tournament to be held in Barranquilla on January 4 to 13 of 2020. The youths are currently in the physical training and technical-coordination stage with the support of the Cerrejón Sports program and the Fondecor Foundation, and will then represent La Guajira at this important tournament.
